No more texting behind the wheel in MD!

FYI, from the FNP/AP: ANNAPOLIS (AP) — Maryland drivers, beware: this is the last day you can send a text message while driving without breaking the law. The new law taking effect Thursday will make sending a text message while driving punishable by a fine of up to $500. Drivers will still be allowed to read text messages sent to them. Continue

Rumor Mill: Hooters coming to Frederick?

Has anybody heard the rumor about Hooters moving into the old Lonestar Steakhouse building near the FSK Mall? Don't get too excited just yet, as the latest word is they won't be open for at least sixteen months, which puts it some time early 2010.

Bar News in Frederick!

Fusion has been pretty dead lately, so now they're changing formats. Mack's Rock Bar is taking over, starting this weekend. They've been lighting up everyone's MySpace page with event invites and announcements. Info on their page is sparse, but it does mention list the upcoming acts, so it may be worth checking out. Is Venuti's Closed???

This post on Frederick Maryland Online mentioned that both the bar and restaurant side of Venuti's seems to be closed! We stopped by tonight to check it out, and the place was locked up.
